Network Administrator

St. Croix Solutions is seeking an experienced candidate as a Network Administrator to work on site with our client in Eagan, MN. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years working in a VPN and MPLS based Cisco environment.

Under the direct supervision of the Systems Lead, this individual will have primary responsibility architecting, deploying, managing and maintaining the connections of the organizations 18 Local and Wide Area Network and voice communications and hosting centers

Job Responsibilities:
• Responsible for the installation all new hardware, systems, and software for network implementation, management and maintenance.
• Primary responsibility for configuration and maintenance of all network equipment and devices.
• Architectural responsibility for all design, planning and implementation of all local and wide area networks network and communications infrastructure projects.
• Perform troubleshooting analysis of all data and voice communications issues. This includes documentation of all network problems and resolution for future reference.
• Accountable for monitoring of network and voice communications performance and the implementation of performance tuning.
• Will be the primary point of contact for all communications vendors for network and voice solutions. This will include involvement in budget and implementation planning as well and issue resolution.

Job Qualifications:
• Minimum 5 years' experience working in a VPN and MPLS based Cisco and Blue Coat environment.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent. MCSE, CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, CNE considered a plus.
• Proven background in Cisco switches and router, Blue Coat PacketShapers, Barracuda security and load balancing and Juniper appliances. Experience with Avaya VoIP solutions considered a plus.
• Detailed understanding of Switches, Routers, Firewalls, LAN and WAN topology, TCP/IP, DNS, VoIP, QoS, VPN and MPLS best practices.
• Good technical problem solving and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work in a fast paced, team environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
• Highly motivated, detail oriented team player with a great attitude.
• Able to work independently.
